I was re-watching Starship, and I had a distinct feeling that I could find out who was the voice of Dr. SpaceClaw if I just fucked around with the audio enough.
Sure ‘nuff I did. It’s Nick Lang. They just changed the audio pitch for his voice. Audio is the original and the version that was raised a couple keys.
All this was done through Audacity, which is the best audio recording/editing program I’ve used.

I’m working on my sign language version of “Status Quo.” This is my attempt at the first verse and first chorus. Could anyone look this over and tell me if it looks right? Below is the translation I’m signing. Also, it’s supposed to go with the song, so the timing is weird (and, like, I sign “show” about fifty times).
THANK YOU. I want to get this perfect so I can show it to the Starkids. :D

This isn’t really a confession… more of a fun fact, really.
That’s what I love about Starship. It’s basically the Little Mermaid, Avatar, and Ferngully combined. And yet, it doesn’t seem at all derivative.
